LEED TESTING

In order to comply with the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating system for New Construction (LEED-NC), CVR Labs is now providing thorough Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) analysis as an efficient substitute for Flushing Out the building for two exhausting weeks.

Using analytical procedures compliant with USEpA, we perform baseline IAQ testing following the completion of construction and before occupancy to confirm that the following pollutant maximum concentrations are not exceeded.

Maximum Allowed Major Indoor Source
Formaldehyde - 50 ppbV
Products made of composite wood include plywood, particleboard, furniture, paints, combustion appliances, wallpaper, and tobacco smoke.
particulates (pM10) - 50 µg/m3
Aerosol sprays, wood stoves, fireplaces, cigarettes, and home dusts.
Total Volatile Organic Compounds (TVOC) - 500 µg/m3
Paints and lacquers, paint strippers, cleaning supplies, pesticides, building materials and furnishings, printers, correction fluids and carbonless copy paper, glues and adhesives, permanent markers, and photographic
4-phenyl cyclohexene (4-pCH) - 6.5 µg/m3
Styrene butadiene rubber-containing carpets and Fabrics (SBR)
Carbon Monoxide (CO) - 9 ppmV and no greater than 2 ppmV above outdoor levels
Unvented/malfunctioning gas & propane appliances, fireplaces, vehicles in garages
